Announcing our next Youth - Young Adult Event!
To close out Pride Month- we are hosting Pride Prom!
So many of our 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and young adults have talked about not feeling comfortable to bring their partners to prom, wear what they felt comfortable in to prom (dress, tux, everything in between) and we want to close out Pride Month with an event that allows our 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and young adults to go to a Prom as authentically as possible!
The Velvet Fox in Appleton is being generous in letting us use this space for the event!
This event is open to ages 14-20.
When: June 28th, 2026
Time: 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Where: The Velvet Fox
501 N Richmond St, Appleton, WI 54911
(Located behind The Tardigrade's Bookshelf)
Some things that we are excited about:
*We will have a DJ
*We will have a photo wall area to strut your stuff
*We will have SNACKS
*Areas set up for sensory rest
*The Tardigrades Bookshelf will be offering (for purchase) mocktails, sodas, coffees, etc. Known By Name Collective will be providing water and for free. And did we mentions SNACKS?
And instead of having a Prom King and Prom King crowned? We will have the Prom Slays crowned and sashed for the night! Want to have a chance to be crowned as the "Certified Prom Slay" or the "Weaponized Glitter Prom Slay" for the night? Here's your chance!
This event is FREE- however you will need to register for tickets (to ensure this is a SAFE event)
