Did you know that Florida's first tourist attraction was at Clay Springs (now Wekiwa Springs) almost 150 years ago and that that a three-story hotel with 100 rooms opened in 1886 to cater for guests from New York and other northern cities. Did you know that Rock Springs was the site of the area's largest pre-Civil War plantation and that after the war, there was a bustling township called Ethel which then vanished almost without trace in the 1920s.
