The GREATER women of the Beta Lambda Sigma chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., is hosting a Know. Protect. Defend. program focused on raising awareness of sexual assault on Saturday, April 4, 2026.
This event is in recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. It is designed to educate, equip, and encourage meaningful conversations that help us identify sexual assault and how to protect ourselves.
We will have a panel discussion featuring representatives from the Special Victims Unit of the Raleigh Police Department, WakeMed, and InterAct. Following the discussion, there will be a self-defense class led by LaShonda Hopkins.
Tickets are $15, and space is limited. The event is open to all ages; however, attendees under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
