We had so much fun in December, we decided to do it again - and you’re invited! 🎉🍾🪩🎈
In 2025, C4C Action held over 50 canvasses, knocked on over 18,000 doors, built community and solidarity between housed and unhoused West Oakland residents, secured an unprecedented allocation of $1.4 billion from Alameda County in funding for homelessness solutions, blocked legislation that would criminalize homelessness in Oakland, and got the first Black woman ever elected as Mayor of Oakland running Barbara Lee's field campaign!

2026 will be a huge election year for Oakland, and we need your support to sustain the year-round grassroots neighborhood organizing that's needed to defeat the tech oligarchs, crypto-bros, and corporate developers who are planning to spend big to try and take over our local government.

Join us at Hesher's Pizza at 7pm on Wednesday, April 29th, whether you’ve been door knocking with us every week for years, or are just curious about our work - we’d love to see you there!
What is "Knockout Karaoke"?

In Knockout Karaoke, participants sign up to play the game by naming a "starting bet" (which could be $1, $5, $20, $100 - the proceeds go to C4C!) and a genre, artist, or specific song they're willing to sing for the cause.
For example:

• Nate loves karaoke and will sing anything for a dollar.
• Nicole wants a $20 donation to C4C to sing any classic country song.
• Viviana is shy, but she'll sing "Girl on Fire" by Alicia Keys for a $100 donation to C4C (with backup singing support from C4C volunteers).

Don't wanna sing? Your role is to put up the donation to hear the song of your choice (within the category of what people who have signed up are willing to sing)!
And yes, you can make a donation to challenge yourself to sing whatever you want!

Knockout Karaoke is a lot of fun, and all the proceeds will resource Care 4 Community Action's progressive organizing in 2026, so bring your friends and get ready to do some silly singing for a great cause :)
