The Kiran Nadar Museum of Art presents KNMA in the Park, an evening of performances featuring singer-songwriter Mansa Jimmy, and the Delhi premiere of Roysten Abel and Ranjit Barot’s percussion ensemble BeatRoute, on 23rd February, 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Sunder Nursery. Witness the transformation of the Sunder Nursery Picnic Lawn, from its serene beauty during the day to a vibrant carnival pulsating with the rhythms of these lively performances. You can look forward to a memorable evening that is as much a celebration of music and culture, as it is about having fun with your friends and family.The evening will open with the exceptionally talented Mansa Jimmy’s sensational renditions of Retro, Bollywood and Sufi songs. BeatRoute will then take over the stage with an enthralling blend of traditional folk rhythms and contemporary electronic music, with a soundscape that creates contrasts between Rajasthan's arid deserts and Kerala's lush greenery. Conceptualised by celebrated percussionist Ranjit Barot and Roysten Abel who is renowned for The Manganiyar Seduction, the ensemble percussive performance will showcase an array of instruments; from the resonant Mizhavu and Chenda to various eclectic desert instruments like the Dholl, Nagara, Kharthal, Bapang and Morchang along with Barot’s masterful drumming. About KNMAThe Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA), founded in 2010 by renowned art collector Kiran Nadar, is a distinguished private museum dedicated to exhibiting modern and contemporary art from the Indian subcontinent and beyond. With two museums, one in Saket and the other in Noida, KNMA has become a vital platform for diverse artistic practices and showcased numerous critically acclaimed exhibitions.
