You’ve knitted quite a few projects and you’re delighted with your progress. Now you’d really love to be able to fix some of those dropped stitches and extra yarnovers, when they happen, without having to keep frogging your work.Let’s look at knitting surgery. How can we fix a simple dropped stitch if it’s way down there? Or that stitch that you purled instead of knitted? What about that yarnover or increase you forgot to add? Or maybe even a mis-crossed cable?
We’ll look at the anatomy of a single stitch, how each stitch relates to its neighbours and how to read your knitting.
We’ll discuss the tools that are helpful for knitting surgery and how to be prepared before you start. We’re going to practice dropping single stitches and groups of stitches down a few rows and working them back up again. Everything will look as good as new!
We’ll also look at those things that are better not to fix!
