Learn how to knit in the round and make unique, seamless pumpkins. Participants will learn how to cast on to circular knitting needles, knit and purl a rib pattern, increase and decrease to shape your pumpkins, and how to cast off. We’ll seam up the ends, stuff the pumpkin to your desired size, and top it off with a found stick for its stem. These make great Halloween and Harvest decorations around the house!
Participants are encouraged to find fun, gnarled twigs in their yard to bring for their pumpkin's stem. Everyone will take home the pattern and a link to a video tutorial in case they don’t complete the project in class.
Class Note: To register for this class, participants must have previously completed Intro to Knitting at 577. Participants are welcome to bring a notepad and pen to take notes. All other supplies are provided.

Community Instructor: Annie Johnson
Annie grew up in an Arts & Crafts household, learning to crochet at 7 and knit at 14. She has honed most of her knowledge through trial and error, observation, and decades of repetition. She has been teaching for over 10 years and loves to share the joy of fiber crafts with anyone interested, from preschool to retired. Her favorite parts of teaching are witnessing a student's ah-ha moment and seeing them explore the hobby in their own way.
