About this Event

THIS IS A 4-DAYS COURSE. It will take place on the following dates:
Nov. 3rd / 18:30 – 20:00

Nov. 10th / 18:30 – 20:00

Nov. 17th / 18:30 – 20:00

Nov. 24th / 18:30 – 20:00

This course is the natural next step after a first knitting experience, or if you’ve been knitting for a while and would like to learn a new technique, gain some skills, or simply knit in good company. Whether you knitted a scarf once and stopped, or you’ve been at it on and off, this is the moment to try something new: a piece for your head that you’ll actually wear. At the first session you’ll choose your project from four options, each suited to a different level, and then we knit together every Tuesday for four weeks. I’ll guide you through every step, and everything you need is included.

  • Who this workshop is for: For those who know how to cast on, knit and purl, feel ready to take the next step and comfortable with the needles. Previous knitting experience (confident beginners to intermediate knitters).
  • What you’ll learn: Depending on your project selection you’ll learn or improve: knitting in the round, rib stitch, decreases, increases, picking up stitches, flat and round construction, I-cord and working with double pointed needles.
  • What you’ll make: A bonnet-scarf, a fisherman’s hat, a chunky balaclava, or a tie-up bonnet. You'll choose your project at the first session based on your level.
  • Materials: Yarn, pattern, and video techniques included. Needles provided during the course.
  • Small groups: maximum 8 people.
** Base price: €115. Eventbrite fees will be added on top of this amount.**

Please note that with some projects you may have yarn left over, if there’s enough, it could cover a little scarf, and I’d be happy to help you bring your own design to life!

Note: Depending on your pace, a little at-home knitting between sessions may be helpful to complete your piece. If you’d like extra time or company to knit, I also host a free Knitting Club twice a month in Friedrichshain; open to everyone, no commitment needed.
