Come join us in our Knitting Circle! We have several local ladies that work in fiber, spin, knit, and crochet that are willing to donate their time to help teach you!!! Mrs. Lucy Smith (Which many of you have probably met at the farm events.) and Ms. Beth Hope will be your teachers.This class will be held at the Galax Public Library in Galax, Va.
We are excited to be able to meet up with those who wish to learn how to knit, re-introduce yourself to it, or just hang out and make fun little projects with us! This class is open to all ages.
In this second class we will hit on what we went over in the first class. Which was the interest in the class we are starting up and to go over what we plan on doing with this new venture of the farms. We will also be covering what the different stitches are called so you can eventually learn how to read a pattern. Our first project we will be working on will be a dish rag. It will be a simple project to learn how to knit and to get comfortable with your needles. There is a few things you will need to bring with you to this class.
Materials needed for the class:
*1 skein of cotton yarn
( I LOVE THIS COTTON! Is an amazing brand and works great for dish rags. We get ours at Hobby Lobby. )
*Either a size 8 or 9 set of needles.
(Paper and pencil will be provided for notes if you wish to take any.)
