Knitting and Crochet Basics

11/9 - Arm knitting

Make an infinity scarf with arm knitting. Will teach casting on, knit stitch, casting off, and definition of stockinette stitch, knit stitch, purl stitch, and how they all relate to each other. All ages welcome.

11/23 - knitting basics

Make a book mark. Will teach casting on, knit stitch, purl stitch, casting off, and how to read a basic pattern. Talk about the definition of stockinette stitch and Roman stitch, knit stitch, purl stitch, and how they all relate to each other. Recommend adults and kids ages 7+

11/30 - crochet basics

Make a granny square coaster. Will teach chain stitch, slip stitch, double crochet stitch, tie off, and how to read a basic pattern. Recommend adults and kids ages 7+

My name is Ashlie. I learned to knit in junior high and learned crochet a couple years ago. I’ve been teaching knitting and crochet to friends and coworkers for the last year. It’s a fun and easy hobby that’s good for the brain and great if you like to fidget.
