Knitting 101 with Raven's Nest Owner Kaelin
About this Event
In this class participants will learn the basic terminology of knitting, including stitch types, actions, and pattern abbreviations. The class will provide hands-on practice time starting a pattern by casting on, and practice with the basic stitches, knit, and purl. We will talk about the basic techniques for finishing a project by casting off. The goal is for participants to leave knowing how to read a beginner pattern and how to select the right pattern, yarn, and needles for a participant's skill level.
