Knit yourself Calm this New Year!-Learn the basic's of knitting and learning a new hobby in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. Start your knitting journey in Maldon, Essex. Ideal for complete novices, this workshop covers all the basics of knitting, including casting on, knitting, purling, and casting off. Our experienced Creative Arts Counsellor and knitter will guide you through each step, ensuring you gain the confidence to keep knitting new projects at home.
All participants will also receive a knitting kit including needles, stitch counter , printed basic patterns and wool to take away with you and this 2 hour workshop includes drinks and cake. This workshop is £25.00 per person.

Knitting is a relaxing and therapeutic pastime, enjoyed across the ages and the combination of focusing and being mindful when knitting is the perfect stress-busting activity!
Betsan Corkhill, is an experienced healthcare professional who founded the community interest company stitchlinks.com in 2005. Betsan writes about how the repetitive techniques of knitting help to promote a calm state and beneficial impact on our mental health.
