Knit In at Normal Public Library
The third Knit In for 2026 will be Saturday, August 8 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Normal Public Library. Knitters and crocheters are welcome to come and create charity items or work on their own projects in the company of like-minded crafters.
This quarter’s featured projects will be making blankets for the Scott Child and Family Center in Bloomington (Bright Point) and hats and scarves for the Boys and Girls Club of Bloomington Normal and Unity Community Center. Blankets can be toddler size (42 inches by 52 inches), crib sized (45 inches by 60 inches) or throw sized (52 inches by 60 inches). Any pattern and color can be used! Hats and scarves in adult and child sizes needed (no baby). Any pattern, any color will work!
Free parking will be available at Normal Public Library. Additional paid parking will be available at the College Avenue Parking Deck near the library as well.
