Join Klapa Bošket from Croatia and Windsor's Klapa Kartolina for an evening of authentic Dalmatian klapa singing, celebrating the rich musical traditions of Croatia.
Klapa Bošket, a four-time winner of the Festival of Dalmatian Klapas in Omiš (FDK), is recognized for its interpretations of both traditional and contemporary klapa repertoire. Joining them is Klapa Kartolina, which has been preserving and sharing Croatian song and culture in Windsor for many years.
Klapa singing, inscribed on UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, is a unique form of traditional a cappella singing from Dalmatia, known for its close harmonies and emotional expression. Together, the ensembles will present a program that celebrates this treasured musical tradition through songs that reflect the history, culture, and spirit of the Croatian coast.
