Imagine spending 45 minutes surrounded by the softest, fluffiest rescue kittens imaginable — painting cat-inspired mini canvases while adorable fur babies climb all over you. That's exactly what this is.
This special event is a collaboration between Imperfect Painter Art Studio and SAFE Bunbury — a local rescue organisation dedicated to finding loving homes for cats and kittens in the South West.
Whether you're 5 or 85, a passionate cat lover or just curious — everyone is welcome, and every ticket makes a difference to the animals in SAFE Bunbury's care.

With a kitten or two on your lap (or attempting to steal your paintbrush), work on your cat-inspired mini canvas at your own pace. No experience needed — it's all about the fun.

Is this suitable for young children?

For the safety and comfort of the kittens, we have a minimum age of 5 years old for bookings. Everyone over 5 is welcome including teens, adults and seniors. Little ones will need to be accompanied by a supervising adult.
What if I'm allergic to cats?

If you have a cat allergy, please keep this in mind before booking — the kittens will be present throughout the session and the space may contain dander. We'd hate for you to be uncomfortable!
Do I need any art experience?

Not at all! The art activity is designed for all skill levels — think of it as a fun, low-pressure creative activity rather than a serious art class. The kittens definitely don't care if you draw whiskers wonky.
Can I adopt one of the kittens?

The kittens at the event are from SAFE Bunbury's rescue program, and some may be available for adoption! Adoptions can only happens after the event, to prevent impulse buying and ensure the adopters are prepared for a kitten. Chat to the SAFE Bunbury team on the day, or visit their website to find out more about their adoptable animals.
