Join us on the coast as Kites of Peace returns for 2026 – a colourful gathering of hope, solidarity and community.
Bring your own kite and help fill the sky with a visible message of peace. As our kites dance on the wind, we'll hold in our hearts everyone living through the horror of war and displacement – in Gaza, Ukraine, Sudan, Iran, and all places affected by conflict.
Throughout history, flying kites has been an act of joy, resilience and quiet resistance. In conflict zones including Gaza and Afghanistan, children have flown kites to express their longing for safety, freedom and peace. Together, we'll honour that spirit and stand in global solidarity.
From 1pm, there'll be an opportunity to personalise your kite with our peace dove design through art blocking before it takes to the skies.
Fly kites – not drones.
Let's replace the sound of conflict with the sight of colour, hope and humanity.
Everyone is welcome. Bring a kite, bring friends, and help us create a sky full of peace.
