Kiss Hershey Back! began in 2008 as a township-wide cleanup initiative led by students from Penn State College of Medicine, with a simple but powerful goal: to make the Sweetest Place on Earth the Cleanest Place on Earth. What started with five first-year medical students quickly grew into a community-wide effort, bringing together the Derry Township Board of Supervisors, Department of Public Works, local schools, organizations, businesses, and residents.While the medical center students have been unable to continue the event since 2020, the Downtown Hershey Association has proudly carried the tradition forward.
