Het internationale queer-icoon Kis Keya begint haar eerste samenwerking met Het Huys eind oktober. Bereid jullie voor om samen met deze kunstenares cinema te maken in Het Huys!
Wat zijn Kinofilms? Kino is een internationale filmbeweging die starte in Canada waarbij films gemaakt worden op een korte tijd met weinig budget. Het motto is "Doe het goed met niets, doe het beter met weinig, maar doe het nu."
Tijdens dit weekend leer je alles over dit filmgenre en leer je ook zelf een kinofilm maken!
Op donderdagavond starten we dit artistieke project met de vertoning van kinofilms zodat je kan proeven van het genre en vertonen we de beste films van Kis Keya zelf!
Op vrijdag en zaterdag kan je workshops volgen om zelf een kino film te creëren! Zo leer je alles over hoe je een film kan producen, over de belichting, het geluid en leer hoe je in eenvoudige stappen een heel script bedenkt. Elke stap van het artistieke project om een film te creeëren komt aan bod.
Op zaterdagavond sluiten we het weekend feestelijk af met de vertoning van de kinofilm die ontworpen werd tijdens de workshop en sluiten we af met een afrobeats en hiphopfeest met DJ!

Om dit project te realiseren werken heel veel verschillende artiesten samen. Het event is gratis maar we vragen dan ook een vrije bijdrage van 5 euro (als jullie kunnen) om deze artiesten te kunnen steunen.

L’icône queer internationale Kis Keya débute sa première collaboration avec notre centre communautaire Het Huys à la fin du mois d’octobre. Préparez-vous à percer les secrets du 7ième art aux côtés de la cinéaste et artiste multidisciplinaire au sein de Het Huys !
Mais en fait... c’est quoi un film KINO? KINO est un mouvement cinématographique qui a démarré au Canada : on “fabrique” des films en très peu de temps et avec un très petit budget. La devise est le suivante : « Fais quelque chose avec de bien avec rien, fais de ton mieux avec peu, mais fais-le maintenant. »
Durant ce week-end, tu apprendras tout à propos de ce genre cinématographique et également de quelle manière réaliser un film KINO toi-même !
Dans la soirée du Jeudi 24/10, nous commencerons ce projet artistique avec la projection de films Kino afin que vous puissiez vous familiariser avec ce genre et nous projetterons les meilleurs films de Kis Keya elle-même !
Durant les journées du vendredi 25/10 et samedi 26/10, vous pourrez suivre les ateliers afin de créer un film Kino de vos propres mains! Vous apprendrez tout sur la production d’un film, sur l’éclairage, le son, et également quelles sont les étapes essentielles dans la conception d’un scénario. Chaque partie de ce processus créatif forme un ensemble cohérent et indispensable.
Dans la soirée du samedi 26/10, nous clôturerons ce week-end festif et interactif avec la projection des films KINO réalisés par les incroyables participant.e.s aux ateliers et avec un DJ set aux sonorités hip-hop et afrobeats.

The international queer-icon Kis Keya is launching a brand new collaboration with Het Huys at the end of October. Prepare yourselves to create great pieces of art with Kis Keya in our community center.
So… what is a KINO movie really? KINO is an international movie phenomenon who started in Canada many years ago : the goal was to make movies in a short periode of time with little to no budget. The motto is the following : “Do something with nothing, do it better with almost nothing, but do it now.”
During this weekend, you will learn everything about this cinematographic genre and also how can you direct a KINO movie yourself!
On the night of Thursday the 24 of October, we will start this artistic project with the presentation of KINO movies in order for our public to get accustomed to this specific genre and we will show the best movies directed by Kis Keya herself!
On Friday and Saturday the 25th and 26th of October, you will be able to follow the different workshops to create a KINO movie with your own hands! You wil learn everything about production, lighting, sound and the essential steps towards the completion of a screenplay. Each part will become a cohesive and beautiful ensemble.
On the night of Saturday 26th of October, we shall end this wonderful week-end with the presentation of the KINO movies that will have been made during the different workshops by our amazing crew of future legendary directors. And we will relax and party all thanks to a electrifying DJ set!

To be able to put this event in motion, we are tirelessly working with many incredible artists. Everybody is welcome to come to our event for free but we also encourage you to pay 5 euros if you can to support our artistic vision.
