About this Event
Join us for a heart-opening evening at the temple. If you’ve been wanting to experience spiritual community in a real, living way, experience tradititional hindu rituals and kirtan, this is the perfect day to come.
We start with Music Practice led by Karuna and Rishi Aditya. It’s relaxed, joyful, and open to everyone. No experience needed. If you’ve ever wanted to chant or learn devotional music, this is a beautiful place to begin.
As the sun sets, we enter Prayers & Abhishekam, a powerful ritual of offering and devotion. The atmosphere becomes still and sacred, and people often say this is the moment they truly feel the presence in the temple.
Later, we gather for Shayana Aarti, a peaceful closing ceremony that softens the mind and brings a sense of inner quiet.
We end the night with a warm community dinner, shared all together.
This gathering is donation-based, and every offering supports the temple.
A Quick Guide (for newcomers):
Kirtan is a simple, joyful way of chanting mantras. The vibration of these sacred syllables hasa naturally uplifting effect. It clears the mind, opens the heart, and creates a feeling of peace that you can feel in the whole room.
Abhishekam is a traditional Hindu offering ritual where the deity is bathed with water, flowers, and mantras. Even though it may look like a simple ceremony, it’s actually a powerful way to connect with the Divine. In this tradition, the deity is not seen as a statue but as a living presence that has been blessed and awakened.
By offering water, flowers, or mantras, we soften the mind, purify the heart, and create a deeper relationship with the Divine. Many people feel a quiet peace during Abhishekam, as if the mind naturally becomes more focused and the heart more open.
Shayana Aarti is the evening “goodnight” ritual of the temple. Soft light, gentle bells, and mantras are offered as the deity is symbolically put to rest. It creates a deeply calming atmosphere that helps the mind settle and the whole space become peaceful.
