Kinki Indie – York's legendary indie night!
After a very successful and fun night at the end November last year, Kinki Indie is back for more mayhem!
Playing the best in Britpop, Indie & Alternative Classics all the way into the noughties!
Step back into the golden age of indie as Kinki Indie comes to The Den at The Micklegate Social – bringing back the sounds that defined generations. Expect an eclectic mix of retro UK & US anthems from the late 80s to the mid-2000s: Oasis, Blur, System of a Down, The Stone Roses, Franz Ferdinand, Pulp, Arctic Monkeys, The Killers, The Strokes,Nirvana and loads more!
Originally established in 1995, Kinki Indie became a Yorkshire institution and one of York’s longest-running indie nights. Now it’s back — with the original DJ lineup that made it legendary: Gav, James, Dan, Ade (and maybe Bish if we can convince him!).
Whether you’re reliving your indie youth or discovering what a proper indie night was really like — this is your chance to dance, sing, and lose yourself in classic Indie/Britpop/Alternative tunes all night long!
