Kings Mountain Historical Museum and Mauney Memorial Library are proud to host a new event this year - Kings Mountain Founders Day! This FREE community-centered event commemorates the founding of Kings Mountain by celebrating its rich Revolutionary War heritage, early settlers, African American history, cultural traditions, and enduring community legacy. Lectures & activities like Kings Mountain Trivia & Children's Story Time are scheduled throughout the day. There will also be all day activities, including:
- Living History Demos & Interpretations (Rev War Militia, Blacksmithing, Hearth Cooking, Native American & Early Settlers)
- Mining Activity
- Children's Colonial Games & Crafts
- Live Folk Music
- Children's Scavenger Hunt
- Old Timey Photo Station
- And More!
