Kingdom Impact Theater 30th Anniversary

Enjoy an evening of faith-filled festivities as Kingdom Impact Theater Ministries thanks the people, the places and The LORD for supporting three decades of service as theater missionaries.

Entitled "God's Theatrical Voice," the anniversary is a homecoming and fundraiser for the Elk Grove Village-based company which began in 1995 at Elk Grove Baptist Church (EGBC). Several former performers and students will reconnect with ministry founders Michael Edgar Myers and Vikki J. Myers, Friday, October 3, at Village Point Church, 801 Beisner Road, Elk Grove Village, IL.

"God's Theatrical Voice" highlights the importance of performing arts in fulfilling Christ's command to "Go into the world and proclaim the Gospel." The evening celebrates Kingdom Impact Theater Ministries' role in that mission as ensemble members perform favorite music and scenes, preview excerpts of their 2026 U.S. history and faith festival, supported by guest speakers from Chicagoland’s faith and theater communities, as well as from Artists in Christian Testimony Intl, KIT's not-for-profit parent organization.

The night will be presented in two acts, The Reception at 6:30 PM, followed by The Showcase at 7:30 PM.

Guests may attend both The Reception and The Showcase, or just The Showcase, but should respond by Friday, Sept. 19 as seating is limited.

ACT ONE: THE RECEPTION

Immerse yourself in the KIT history timeline in the VPC Fellowship Hall, visiting exhibits that highlight places where KIT has performed. Meet individuals who have performed with the ensemble or have been impacted by the ministry.

Along the way, you'll be fed:

At The Reception, guests will be fed two ways:

1. sampling hors d'oeuvres donated by community business partners;
2. enjoying background instrumentals by KIT musical director Garlan Garner.

During a brief intermission, you'll travel to the performance space, the renovated Worship Center. Along the way, you'll view physical plant changes which transformed Elk Grove Baptist into Village Point.

ACT TWO: THE SHOWCASE

The Showcase will feature favorite original scenes and songs from the Kingdom Impact Theater performance repertoire -- such as "The 4-1-1- on John 3:16," Roscoe P. Love, Marriage Esq., the women's trio Chos3n -- as well as excerpts from KIT’s upcoming project: “Convergence of History: Four Anniversaries, One Faith” debuting in 2026 as part of the 250th anniversary of the United States (if The LORD allows).

SPECIAL GUESTS

Besides the voices of guests and the KIT ensemble, other celebrants will include testimonials from clergy, community leaders, and performers who have been impacted by Kingdom Impact Theater Ministries. These include Master of Ceremonies Tom McElroy, among the many professional Chicago film and theater actors, who are Christ-followers.
