KING OF THE COLOSSEUMThe Colosseum returns for our players to test their mettle at the year’s charity fund raiser event!
PLAYING IN THE COLOSSEUM
The Colosseum is fast paced, chaotic & brutal, plan your attack & strike quickly or be cut down.
- Primary Missions: Linchpin or Terraform
- Mission Rules: Stalwarts or Swift Action
- Secondary Missions are Tactical
- Primary Missions are scored from turn 2; 5 pts per primary & capped at 15 pts per turn.
- ‘Knockout tournament format’ with winning players proceeding to the next round, the idea being players can stagger their games, do other things on the day or simply spectate.
- Each game is limited to 4 battle rounds only & 8 minutes per player turn
Winner of the roll off to determine attacker or defender gets to choose either the mission or mission rule.
The other player then chooses either the mission or mission rule depending on what’s already been selected.
However, if both players agree prior to the role off both the mission and mission rules can be selected at random.
TERRAIN
The Colosseum arena has been designed to ensure generals will need to be fast and ruthless to destroy their enemy in close quarters.
- Map Size 36x36’’
- Colosseum Walls are impassable and block line of sight
- For both the outer and inner terrain features, standard ruin rules apply.
Beware, trickery & traps lie within the inner colosseum ruins - seek refuge at your peril.
LIST BUILDING REQUIREMENTS
- 500pts
- At least one character who is designated as your Warlord
- Minimum of two units that are infantry & not characters
- Enhancements are allowed
- No epic heroes
- No units can be Toughness 10 or higher
