King of Prussia Community Invited to Celebrate Michaels’ New Store Format with Free Family Fun

Michaels is inviting the King of Prussia community to celebrate the grand opening of its creatively remodeled, experiential store on Friday, August 28. The free event will feature family-friendly activities, hands-on crafts, live demonstrations, games, music, character meet-and-greets, a bounce house, giveaways, local food favorites and more.  

Attendees will also be among the first to explore Michaels’ new experiential store format, including inspirational vignettes for creating and celebrating; expanded services and events like customization bars and flexible classrooms; and an upgraded party and event space designed to strengthen local community connection. 

The free event will include:

• Bag charm-making station 
• Bounce house 
• Live music  
• Floral arranging 
• Rock and face painting 
• Sharpie mural station 
• Philadelphia-themed selfie station 
• Games and character meet-and-greets

• Painting demonstration 
• Custom framing demonstration by local artist/photographer 
• Knitting demonstration and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia donation 

Michaels is proud to celebrate with community partners including The Boys & Girls Club, Best Buddies, Quilters Guild, Floracraft, and Cloud & Fiber Crochet. 

The celebration is free and open to the public.
