August is upon us, which means we have another feast of Mack’em spoken words for you all to gorge on!
Anne Sexton wrote: “In August perhaps as the trees rose to the stars/I have flown from leaf to leaf in the thick dark.” Adrian Henri’s offer: “August is coming and the goose, I'm afraid,/is getting fat.”
This month, though, we’ll be hearing a headline set from Aaron McCallum Hepple!
Aaron McCallum Hepple is a Mack’em poet, actor and writer, living in London.
His work blends raw honesty with a storyteller’s instinct, exploring identity, childhood dreaming, mental health, and hope, all whilst tugging at the heartstrings of nostalgia.
Doors open at 6pm
Poetry is 7-9.30pm, with an interval
