👑 OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCING THE KING CAKE MAFIA KING CAKE THROWDOWN 👑
40 BAKERIES. 1 STREET. 1 CROWN.

⏰ 12 PM – 4 PM
📍 Cousin Street • Olde Towne Slidell
King Cake Mafia is bringing together up to 40 bakeries and king cake makers for one huge afternoon celebrating the food that defines Carnival season.
🎟️ PUBLIC ADMISSION — $10
Your wristband includes unlimited king cake tastings from participating bakeries throughout the event PLUS one official vote for the King Cake Mafia People’s Choice Award.
Sample your way down Cousin Street, find your favorite, then use the voting tab attached to your wristband to cast ONE vote for ONE bakery.
At the end of the Throwdown, the votes will be counted and one bakery will be crowned:
🏆 2027 KING CAKE MAFIA PEOPLE’S CHOICE CHAMPION
But that’s not the only title on the line.
A panel of celebrity judges will conduct a blind judging to crown winners in three official categories:
👑 BEST TRADITIONAL KING CAKE
🔥 BEST SPECIALTY KING CAKE
🎭 MOST CREATIVE KING CAKE
And yes — BRING AN EMPTY TRUNK.
Participating bakeries will be allowed to SELL their king cakes directly to the public, so when you find one you love, you can bring one home.

🍰 WANT YOUR BAKERY IN THE THROWDOWN?
We are opening this event to king cake makers from Slidell, New Orleans, the Northshore, Baton Rouge, Acadiana, Mississippi and BEYOND.
Bakery/vendor entry fee: $50
Participating bakeries will receive a designated vendor space, participate in public sampling, have the opportunity to compete for our official awards and may sell king cakes directly to festival guests.
We want the classics.
We want the filled ones.
We want the crazy ones.
We want the little neighborhood bakeries nobody knows about yet.
And we want some of the biggest names in king cake.
If you make a great king cake, we want you on Cousin Street.
