Kinetik Earth LIVE Space Jazz in the Peace Gardens & Market West Asheville
ASHEVILLE, NC — This June, the Burton Street neighborhood will come alive each Wednesday evening with the vibrant sounds of Kinetic Earth, the electrifying musical duo featuring internationally acclaimed kalimba artist Kevin Spears and celebrated multi-reed instrumentalist Will Boyd.
The weekly concert series will take place every Wednesday in June at the Peace Gardens and Market, located at 47 Bryant Street in West Asheville. Community members and visitors are invited to gather in the garden setting for an immersive musical experience blending African diasporic traditions, jazz, soul, funk, blues, and improvisation.
Jolly Folk Arts and The Peace Gardens and Market are excited to bring the Kinetic Earth duo to a destination that celebrates creativity, healing and community. The duo’s name, Kinetic Earth, reflects the movement, energy, and grounding spirit of their performances — live, outer space jazz. Their instrumentation includes electronic drums, kalimbas and wind instruments.
