#KINDNESS: is a curated International Women’s Day experience designed for Canadian business women who are bold, brave, and actively building their communities through business and who are leading their communities with compassion and purpose.
This is not a passive luncheon.
It’s a room full of women who show up ready to connect, collaborate, and create real momentum.
Women who understand that growth doesn’t happen alone, and that success multiplies when it’s shared.
Hosted by sheshopslocal.ca with the National Arts Centre Of Canada, this seventh annual gathering brings together entrepreneurs, founders, leaders,
and change-makers for an unforgettable afternoon of connection, conversation, and collective power.

The Vision
This event is built around one powerful idea:
We arrive as strangers. We leave as allies, collaborators, and friends.
KINDNESS is the networking event where women sit at new tables with people they’ve never met.
Conversations spark ideas. Ideas turn into projects. Projects turn into partnerships. The room becomes a launchpad for what’s next.
We intentionally crush outdated narratives, self-doubt, and competition, and replace them with shared wisdom, opportunity, and growth.

Why KINDNESS?
Because in this wild world, there is one thing that makes everything better and that is “human connection”.
When people are kind together they can:
Smash all the glass ceilings
Walk confidently into boardrooms
Open doors for other women
Refer her colleagues for positions of power and influence
#KINDNESS is the vibe where others represent you in rooms you’re not in yet!!!!

It speaks highly of your talents, your skills, and your leadership when your name comes up.

This event embodies that energy in every single, solitary detail.

The Experience
A Power Luncheon Designed With Purpose with an Incredible Red Seal Indigenous Chef culinary artist and educator from the Northwest Territories STEPH BARYLUK .Highly regarded for her work in promoting the Gwich’in cuisine and sustainable Indigenous food systems.
Curated seating to encourage meaningful conversations amongst new friends.
Guided connection prompts to move beyond small talk
Space for bold ideas, honest discussions, and real opportunities
A room filled with women who believe in lifting as they climb
This is where collaboration begins naturally. No forced networking. Just real conversations with real impact.

Curator & Leadership
This event is curated by Catherine Landry and her team, and they are not holding back.
Her vision brings together intention, energy, and execution to create an epic power luncheon that reflects the strength and diversity of Canadian women in business today.Every detail is designed to make attendees feel seen, supported, and inspired to step into their next level.

SPECIAL GUEST ANNOUNCEMENTS and HOSTS and PRIZES AND SHOPPING AND VENDORS AND GIVEAWAYS ARE ALL COMING UP !!!!

Mantra: #GiveToGain
International Women’s Day reminds us that when women give, they don’t lose. They multiply.
#GiveToGain is woven into the heart of this event:
Sharing knowledge
Making introductions
Opening doors
Supporting growth beyond our own businesses
This is how communities are built. This is how businesses grow.
Our Home
We gather in a globally revered, multicultural centre we proudly call HOME. The National Arts Centre of Canada , our proud partner for over 8 years.
This space reflects who we are:
diverse, inclusive, bold, and rooted in community. It’s a reminder that Canadian business women come from everywhere, and together, we are powerful.
