Harwich was the main point of entry for most of the children who found refuge in Britain through the Kindertransport rescue programme, from December 1938 to the outbreak of war in September 1939.Almost 10,000 children, mostly Jewish escaped Nazi persecution. Nearly 2,000 of those children spent their first weeks at the Dovercourt holiday camp just two miles from Harwich docks.

"All season tickets are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
The expiry date is on the front of the card, and your season ticket must be shown on admission to the museum and events.
Please note, cards are not transferable"
During this period the holder may make unlimited visits to the Museum during public opening times.
This also includes entry on special event days and talks.
All talks generally last a hour with time for questions. For all talks please remember to pay in advance (includes entry to the museum) or if a season ticket holder book your place and bring your season ticket to show at reception on the day. If you cannot attend please let us know in good time as we may be able to reallocate your place to someone else.
Where talks are shown as **SOLD OUT** we do operate a waiting list so please enquire if you are interested in attending.
