Kimchi is a traditional Korean side dish consisting of salted and fermented vegetables, most commonly using napa cabbage and daikon radish. These vegetables are seasoned with a pepper paste made from onion, appple or pear, ginger, fish sauce, and shrimp paste.
This hands on workshop will teach you everything you need to know about preparing a traditional cabbage and daikon kimchi: preparation of the cabbage, chopping of vegetables, preparing the pepper paste, as well as canning/storage.
Participants will leave the workshop not only knowing how to make kimchi, but also a jar of kimchi prepared during the workshop.
$50/person.
