After years of talking about it, planning it, and circling back to the idea again and again, I’m finally running a Sid’s Ventures camping tour through one of the most extraordinary parts of Australia: the Kimberley.This is not a quick highlights run or a box-ticking exercise. It’s a proper journey — a true traverse of a landscape that is vast, ancient, and still very much in charge of the rhythm. Gorges, ranges, long red roads, swimming holes, big skies, quiet camps, and that particular feeling you only get when you’ve been properly away from everything for a while.
I haven’t guided a trip through the Kimberley in about ten years, but it’s never really left my mind. Some places do that. They wait patiently until the timing is right.
This will be a small group, run once, and guided personally by me. It’s for people who want more than just photos — people who want to understand a place, feel it in their body, and come home a little changed.
