A Texas-Sized, Deep-Fried Black Comedy! Set in a West Dallas trailer park, the dissolute Smith family hires hit man Joe Cooper to murder its matriarch for insurance money. Joe takes the family’s innocent daughter as a retainer against his final payoff, which sets in motion a bloody aftermath.
Acclaimed American playwright Tracy Letts penned "Killer Joe" a decade before his 2008 Pulitzer winner, "August: Osage County."
The darkly comic thriller broadened its audience with the 2011 film adaptation starring Matthew McConaughey, and directed by five-time Academy Award-winner William Friedkin ("The French Connection," "The Exorcist").
