History and science fun await children ages 4-8 at the Millville Historical Society’s first
KIDS’ DAY AT THE MANSION
on Saturday, October 11, 2025
from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
The event takes place at the
1814 David C. Wood Mansion
821 Columbia Avenue
Millville, NJ 08332
There will be a variety of exciting activities for the children to participate in, including:
•A reading of "Mary Had a Little Zoo" by Deborah Ein as Mary Treat
•Hands-on learning with a variety of insects and reptiles from Miss Tori’s Critters
•Birds and binoculars lessons from Dr. Nadya Sotnychuk
•Simple crafts such as making a paper butterfly and drawing a bird
•Potting plants with the Master Gardeners
•Playing the drum with Cynthia Smith
•A Histories Mysteries Scavenger Hunt in the 1814 Wood Mansion
•Early American games
The cost is $5.00 per family, and a light lunch and snacks will be provided. Children must be accompanied by a fun-loving adult. Parking is available behind the Mansion from Church Street. Join us for what promises to be a day filled with excitement and unforgettable experiences.
