Join yoga instructor, Ms. Shelby, for Kid's Yoga starting at 5:00PM at The Nature Place, a great way to combine nature + mindfulness! Ms Shelby is a certified children's yoga instructor - in addition she has an associates in early childhood development and is pediatric CPR certified. Class length is about 45 minutes long - so feel free to take a walk on the beautiful property! It is held in the circle in front of the Berks Nature Preschool room. It focuses on breathwork and instructed poses with breakout games, to keep the kids engaged.

Introducing yoga at an early age can help with physical development like balance and bodily awareness. But it also helps with emotional development and mental health by reducing anxiety and stress and even builds confidence and increases focus.

Shelby has practiced for over ten years and is certified through the YACEP (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider). She has her associates degree in child development and jumped right into a bachelor's program for holistic nutrition where she will also study behavioral analytics. Ms. Shelby hopes to one day use yoga, nutrition and other holistic outlets to help treat ADHD and other childhood disorders. In her free time, Shelby enjoys hiking with her husband and 5-year-old daughter!
