Kid's Workshops: Garden Finger Puppets
About this Event
OUR SERIES RETURNS ! We're back for a little bit of gardening and a little bit of learning this summer at NHG as Kaya Randazzo & Rusty E. Allen and our special guests host a new series of activities just for kids!
How about some friends at your fingertips...? In our next workshop, we'll get really creative by making characters you can wear on your hands - and then you can make up your own stories, plays, and adventures with them! You'll make as many puppets as you like in our one-hour class out of construction paper, draw and paint on faces and more, and then add pipe-cleaner arms, legs, feet, claws, or whatever you can imagine. Cast your new friends in your tales of the birds, bees, and other animals and plants in your garden, and have some fun with us in our next workshop!
In our upcoming series, there's a variety of activities, with kid's workshops, reading, gardening, crafting, and learning activities. Each are inexpensive, $5-10 (covering cost of any materials) or FREE adventures into creating, and averages one hour maximum with assistance from our knowledgeable staff. Parents are invited to drop by our Cafe before the events for a coffee or tea, or stay afterward for a morning snack and a chance to shop with us.
NOTE: This event is indoors in our comfortable Classroom. To have the best experience, our workshop space is limited to 24 children, and this one is best for those aged 8-12 or paired with adult supervision. Please include your child's name and age along with a cell phone number when you register. Note that a parent or adult must accompany the child brought with them to the workshop.
Watch for more events just for kids, coming soon to NHG!
