Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) is in the process of renewing the TPDES Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP), TXR050000, which expires on August 14, 2026. This renewal introduces updates for industrial stormwater discharge requirements. Facilities have 90 days from the effective date of the 2026 MSGP to submit a renewal No Exposure Certification (NEC) or Notice of Intent (NOI) application as well as update the facility’s Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). Late renewal application submissions can lead to expired authorizations that could require submission of a new NOI and higher fees.
