About this Event

Join DC Bird Alliance Junior Ambassador Mac for a special bird walk designed with young people in mind.

This family-friendly adventure at Peirce Mill in Rock Creek Park invites children to explore one of DC's most beloved natural spaces through the eyes of a fellow young birder. Together, we'll look for birds, learn how to use binoculars, practice observation skills, and discover the forests, streams, and wildlife that make Rock Creek Park such a special place.

While adults are welcome and encouraged to attend, this walk is all about creating space for young people to lead, learn, ask questions, and build confidence outdoors. Whether your child is already a budding birder or simply curious about the natural world, this is a wonderful opportunity to explore, discover, and connect with nature alongside other young people.

Binoculars are encouraged, but don't worry if you don't have your own. We'll have a limited number available to share.

Come see what happens when kids lead the way.

And stay tuned for additional youth-led programs hosted by DC Bird Alliance's growing team of Junior Ambassadors!
