Kids Winter Gear Swap

Join us at Panthorn Park for our Kids Winter Gear Swap! This is a great opportunity to trade winter clothing and gear your kids have outgrown for gently used, new-to-you items. Bring coats, snowsuits, base layers, boots, hats, scarves, mittens, and gloves to exchange with other families.

Get your child ready for the cold weather while saving money and reducing waste. It’s a fun and sustainable way to update their winter wardrobe!

1. Buy your ticket – Your ticket number determines your place in line for the swap.
2. Gather your gear – Find gently used winter items sized 18 months to 6 years and make sure they’re CLEAN and in good condition. (Please ensure all clothing is in decent, clean and wearable condition. If you wouldn't wear it because it's too dirty/worn/torn, someone else probably won't either.)
3. Drop off your items –If you're enrolled in Kinderwild, bring your gear to the final class of the fall season.If you live in Southington but are not enrolled, please email to arrange an early drop-off.
4. Come to the swap – Arrive at 3:00 PM to exchange your gear before the lantern walk. You’ll receive one token per item to use in the swap. Extra items (if available) can be purchased for $2 each (cash only).
5. Stay for the lantern walk – Wrap up the day with a cozy community stroll!
