Kids Under the Sea Cookie Decorating Class with Layered

This 2-hour, hands-on class is designed for kids to dive into the fun world of cookie decorating! No experience is necessary to join this exciting journey to create a festive "Under the Sea" themed cookie set.
What Your Child Will Learn
- Covering Cookies: Learn how to apply a fondant topping to a cookie using jam and a pastry brush.
- Marble Design: Learn how to create a marbled finish that looks like the ocean.
- Edible Gold Paint: Kids will learn how to make edible gold paint and use it to embellish our cookies.
- Decorating & Detailing: Kids will learn how to apply pre-cut fondant details, cut and arrange ‘mermaid scales’, make fondant coral and sea grass using simple techniques, and use sprinkles to create a sand effect.
Class Schedule Highlights
- Introduction (15 mins): Welcome, instructor introduction, and access to snacks and beverages.
- Mermaid Scale Cookie (20 mins): Kids will get step-by-step instructions on how to decorate a mermaid scale cookie.
- Under Water Scene (20 mins): Kids will get step-by-step instructions on how to decorate a cookie with an underwater scene.
- Beach Cookie (20 mins): Kids will get step-by-step instructions on how to decorate a beach themed cookie.
- Free Choice Cookie (20 mins): Kids will get an opportunity to be creative and decorate a cookie in any way they wish using the techniques learned in class.
- Photos & Box Up (15 mins): Plenty of time to take photos and safely box the creations to take home.
Amenities Included
- Refreshments: Access to a snack counter including house-made non-alcoholic drinks, fruit, a dessert, and a Keurig coffee station for the adults.
- Tools & Equipment: Class aprons and use of professional tools needed during the session.
- Sugar Cookies: Every student takes home their four fully decorated sugar cookies in a travel friendly box.
Special Notes & Recommendations
- Adult supervision: Every child under 12 must be accompanied by an adult - each ticket includes a seat for one child and one adult (four cookies to decorate)
- Age: This class is recommended for children ages 8-14
Other Notes:
- Tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE! If you are unable to attend the class, you may transfer the ticket to another person. Tickets are not transferable to another class.
- Doors will open 10 minutes before listed class start time. Groups of children and parents wishing to grab seats together are encouraged to arrive when doors open, otherwise we cannot guarantee reserved seating regardless if tickets were purchased together or not.
