About the Workshop
This beginner-friendly workshop introduces kids to the basics of sewing in a fun, relaxed, and supportive environment. By the end of the session, every child will walk away with a one-of-a-kind tote bag they designed and sewed themselves — plus new skills and a big confidence boost!

What Kids Will Learn:

  • Threading a needle and basic hand-stitching
  • How to measure, pin, and cut fabric
  • Simple straight-line and running stitches
  • Sewing on a patch, button, or embellishment
  • How to personalise their bag with fabric paint, markers, or iron-on designs
  • Basic sewing safety and tool handling


What's Included:

  • Pre-cut fabric kit in a choice of colors/patterns
  • Needles, thread, pins, and safety scissors
  • Decorating supplies (fabric paint, patches, markers)
  • A finished tote bag to take home
  • Drinkss and some light snacks

What to Bring:

  • Just enthusiasm! All materials are provided
  • Optional: a small photo or fabric scrap if they'd like to personalize further

Meet the Instructor:
Sarah has 2 of experience teaching kids' craft workshops and loves helping children build creativity and confidence through hands-on projects.

Safety Note:
All tools are kid-safe, and an instructor supervises every step. Sewing machines (if used) are beginner-friendly and closely monitored.

Spots Are Limited — Reserve

  • Age Recommendation: Best suited for ages 8-16. No prior sewing experience required!
  • Punctuality is Key: Because this is a structured 1-hour class with machine safety instructions at the very beginning, please arrive 5–10 minutes early to get settled.
  • Parents & Guardians: Parents of children under 16 are welcome to hang out and watch.
  1. Enter the Main Doors: Come through the front entrance of the building.
  2. Inform Reception: Stop at the ground floor reception desk and let them know you are here to see Tabbey Bobbin Workshops (Studio 11).
  3. I'll Come Meet You: Reception will page the studio, and I will come down to the ground floor to meet you and walk you up to the second floor.
