Kick Off Summer with National Day of Outdoor PlayJoin us on Saturday, May 16 at Welborn Park for National Day of Outdoor Play. This event celebrates the start of summer with World Cup–themed games and a variety of outdoor activities for the community.
Participants can enjoy inflatable sports games, soccer skills activities, and even special activities designed for dogs. The event offers something for all ages and encourages families to get outside, stay active, and enjoy time together.
This free event is recommended for children ages 4 and up. Refreshments and swag will be available while supplies last.
Welborn Park Community Survey
The Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, KS Parks and Recreation Department is conducting a community survey for Welborn Park to gather input from residents.
Welborn Park is a 22.9-acre neighborhood park featuring open green space, a playground, walking trail, ball field, sports courts, and a dog park. The survey asks how the park is currently used and what improvements the community would like to see. Feedback will help guide future enhancements and ensure the park continues to meet community needs.
The survey is open from April 20 through May 17 and is available in both English and Español.
