It's summer and that means it's time for our annual Kids Summer Reading Club! We hope you and your children can join us for the launch of the club on Saturday, July 6th. Kids can pick up this year's READING TREASURE MAP and join in some fun activities!HOW IT WORKS:
* Come into the store and pick up your Treasure Map (hand drawn by artist Vivi de Graff).
* Read one book in each category: ~ Friends ~ Adventure ~ Magic ~ Silly ~
* Write the title of the book you read in the space provided on the Treasure Map and bring it into the bookstore, we will give you a special sticker for each book read. Once you have read all 4 categories, bring your map back into the shop to receive an award!
* Your Treasure Map is made for colouring! When you’ve completed your map you are welcome to bring it into the store and we’ll display it.
* Who can join? Anyone! Although this is geared for ages 8-12, anyone can be a part of the club. The best part is, it’s free.
* Do I have to buy my books to participate? Not at all. We will have suggestions for you here if you would like some ideas but if you go to the library or have a friend or sibling who wants to share their book with you, that is great too!
* What if someone reads to me? That counts too! Storytime is the best.
