Kids’ Saturday: Get Ready for Day of the Dead will be held on October 11, from 10 to 11 a.m. This free, drop-in program includes a story time and a hands-on activity where children can learn about and help build a traditional ofrenda (Day of the Dead altar). Visitors will also have the opportunity to create papel picado, a symbolic, decorative banner for Day of the Dead, that will be used in the exhibit space.
Activities are designed for preschool and early-elementary-aged children, but all are welcome to join the fun.
