KIDS’ IMPROV FUNSHOP-THREE MORNINGS-MONDAY-TUESDAY- WEDNESDAY (Note that this is not the usual Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday schedule due to the July 4th holiday)

Facilitated by Russ the BIG Guy: Russ is a grandfather, entrepreneur, actor, and long time family entertainer, caricature artist and current Creative Director of The NEW Puzzled Players.

Purpose: This Improvisation based workshop aims to improve your child’s ability to successfully interact with others while building self-confidence, unleashing creativity, and more. Russ has worked with kids as young as six through seniors in their eighties and the skills taught are learned and employed by people of every background and every skill level. Our Improv FUNshops will get your child engaged in a lively, dynamic, and interactive workshop based on the principles of improv performance. No acting or performing experience is necessary!

Interpersonal skills are key components in personal interactions. Experiencing them is an effective way to learn communication, empathy, trust, innovation, creativity, teamwork, and more. Through improv, kids also learn to “fail” but in a supportive environment. They see first-hand how mistakes can produce “happy accidents” that lead to innovative ideas.

How it Works: Through fun exercises and games, Russ teaches the basic skills needed to be a successful improviser and uses side coaching to reinforce specific concepts. Connecting the dots between workshop activities and their real-world applications create “a-ha” moments for the kids that will translate into better outcomes from their personal interactions.

Details: Pay one price in advance for the three CONSECUTIVE days. Each day from 10:am-Noon.

Payment through EventBrite or through Russ. No refunds after the first day of the FUNshop. Refunds on a case by case basis and will not include EventBrite fees, etc.

Parents may stay and watch quietly.

Snacks available to purchase.

For kids 10 years and older. No experience necessary.
