CHAMPs: Holistic Integrated Arts Therapy Group

The Kids Hub have partnered with CAHOOTs to deliver their CHAMPS program! Join us for a series of fun, hands-on workshops blending creativity, mindfulness, and therapeutic practices. Each week we’ll explore a new theme through art and sensory activities, helping children build confidence, regulate emotions, and discover new ways to express themselves.

These workshops are for young artists aged 5-12 and must attend with a parent, support worker, or other responsible person.

Upcoming Sessions:

• 28 Oct – Pinch Me! Clay creations + emotions cards Explore “wow” moments and feelings like sparkly, happy, or nervous through clay play and mindfulness
• 4 Nov – Sensory Overload Create calming sensory bottles Learn how to regulate big feelings through sensory play and balloon tummy breathing.
• 11 Nov – Breathing Beads Design your own bead tassel Focus on your breath, relax, and practice mindfulness with The Big Chill and Reach for the Sky.
• 18 Nov – Feeling Funky Mono printing fun Build confidence through creative art, compliments, and mindful flower & candle breathing.
• 25 Nov – Gratitude Rocks Decorate kindness rocks Discover gratitude, create gifts for yourself or others, and practice mindful “tissue time.”
• 2 Dec – Totem Poles Clay and wood creations Explore connection to country and family through totem designs with stretching and breathwork.
• 9 Dec – Gifts of Kindness Decorative light bottles Practice thoughtfulness and create a glowing gift for someone else with mindful finger breathing.
• 16 Dec – This is Me! Canvas self-expression art Celebrate individuality, share something unique about yourself, and reflect with mindful
