Morristown Parks and Recreation is thrilled to announce that the annual "Kids Fun Fair” will take place on Friday, June 12th. The event will be held at Fulton-Hill Park from 5:00 PM until dusk, followed by a special outdoor screening of "The Garfield Movie" as part of The Starlite Cinema series.
The Kids Fun Fair promises a memorable experience for children aged 4-14 and adults, transforming Fulton-Hill Park into a vibrant playground. Attendees will enjoy a variety of attractions, including:
• Giant Inflatables and Interactive Games: Set up throughout the park for endless bouncing and playful competition.
• Jolly Jeep Ride and Teacups: Classic carnival favorite ride and other carnival games for a nostalgic touch.
• Local Business Booths: Featuring fun summer games and goodies from community partners.
• Bicycle Parade: Children of all ages are invited to bring their decorated bicycles, tricycles, wagons, or strollers to participate in a patriotic bike parade around the Great Lawn as we celebrate America’s 250th Birthday! Show off your red, white, and blue spirit with flags, streamers, lights, costumes, and creative patriotic themes. You can bring your bicycles pre-decorated, or stop by our free decoration station at the park where streamers, ribbons, flags, and other festive décor items will be available. The decoration station will be open from 5:00–6:30 p.m., with the parade beginning promptly at 6:30 p.m.
As dusk settles, the excitement will continue with The Starlite Cinema presentation of "The Garfield Movie". Voiced by “Chris Pratt” as the iconic lasagna-loving cat and “Samuel L. Jackson” as his long-lost street cat father, Vic, this animated adventure has Garfield and, his canine companion Odie, forced into a hilarious, high-stakes heist. Join us to find out how their wild journey concludes!
"We are incredibly excited to launch the Kids Fun Fair and offer an, engaging event for the families of Morristown," said Jennifer Gentry of Morristown Parks and Recreation. "This evening is designed to be a fantastic opportunity for kids to play, learn, and then settle in for a fun movie under the stars. It's the perfect way to kick off the summer!"
Food trucks and vendors will be on-site offering a variety of refreshments and treats for purchase throughout the evening.
