Kids Fishin' Derby & Campout

Come to Watauga’s Capp Smith Park to enjoy a fun evening with the family, fishing, and camping out under the stars from 5:00 PM on September 11th to 10:00 AM on the 12th! Poles and bait will be provided; feel free to bring your own. This FREE event is open to all! Don’t forget to bring your tent and camping gear!
The fishing Derby is from 6:00-9:00 PM for kids ages 16 and under, but people of all ages are more than welcome to fish! The campout will end on September 12th at 10:00 AM. The Fort Worth Astrological Society will there from 7:00-10:00 PM on September 11th!
*Adults 17 and older are required to have a fishing license. Fishing licenses are not required for kids 16 and younger. This is a catch-and-release event.
*Registration is required. Registration will open on August 1st. Registration can be done online, at the Hector F. Garcia Community Center at 7901 Indian Springs Rd., or at Capp Smith Park the day after, between 5:00 and 6:00 PM. Questions? Call 817-514-5828
