Ever wondered what life was like in Delaware before European contact? Join us on Monday, November 17 at 4:00pm at the Greenwood Public Library for a fun program exploring the life of the Lenni Lenape tribe of Delaware. Using replicas, historic interpreters will talk about the Lenni Lenape tribe of Delaware and how they lived pre-contact. Interpreters will discuss the food, ways, housing, and even the language of the Lenni Lenape tribe, who still reside in Delaware today. Students will also get to participate in Lenape games and activities! The suggested grade level for this program is 2nd through 6th graders. Please register all participating children for this program. For more information, please call the library at (302) 855-1242. This program is designed to enrich patrons' understanding of local history and culture.
