🧵CLASS DESCRIPTION
Schooool’s out for summer!!!!!!! If you have a creative little one who’s absolutely itching to make something just their own, they can start their summer off right with a workshop to make their own softie!
Sew a Softie is a global movement led by Trixi Symond’s to develop sewing tutorials in order to spread the joy of sewing to kids!
Anne Marie will spend 4 hours teaching your child to bring their imagination to life in the form of an adorable softie (think a stuffy, just a little flatter).

Using a sewing machine
sewing a straight line
turning at a corner
Sewing by hand
🧵 WHAT'S INCLUDED
4 hours expert and age-appropriate instruction
1 hour of learning to use a sewing machine safely to complete basic stitches and corners
3 hours of creative exploration to bring their creative ideas to life
Sewing machine and thread
Everything they’ll need to bring home an awesome home made “softie” (felt, stuffing, thread, etc.)

Snack and drink in covered container
Readiness to learn a new skill!
🧵 ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Anne Marie is a self taught sewist who loves to look at something and say “I could make that”. Quilts, dog jackets, tea towels, jeans, dresses, baby doll bassinets and even bathing suits are some of the many challenges Anne Marie has taken on in her sewing journey.
One of Anne Marie’s favourite parts of sewing is the ability to excitedly say “I made it” in response to a compliment. Her teaching style is attentive, kind and full of humour. She loves watching others realize their potential and find joy in crafting.
