Update: Great news! Beau Blair who is running for US Congress District 6 will join us! Find out more at https://www.beaublaircongress.com/Update 2: We will split into two groups with school-aged children in one and older kids in another. We will have books and coloring for the younger kids and also allow them to ask questions. For the older kids, we will discuss who we are and the process of running, let them ask questions, and facilitate an activity around contacting representatives.
Hi! my name is Jen Wiles, and I'm running for NC House District 75 because I deeply care about a state that works for working people. This means a living wage, strong and fully funded schools, healthcare access, houses for people not profits, and so much more.
Besides winning this race, I have a goal to bring political campaigning to the masses. I want everyday working people like me to understand what it takes to run and how they too can do it.
This extends to children and teenagers. They are our future so if they have the hard-hitting questions, then I'll be there to answer them.
Join us for an informal couple of hours where kids and teens can learn more about the political process, what the NC General Assembly and US Congress does, and what it is like to run a state and federal campaign. There will be plenty of time for questions and socializing!
